One of my favorite things happening on the internet is this series from Trevor Henderson, which mashes real photographs with drawings of original monsters and wraps them together in found footage-style packaging. “Found footage” is typically a filmmaking style, of course, but Henderson’s photo-drawings cut out all the filler and get right to the goods.
In other words, you don’t have to spend an hour with a group of annoying characters before you get to see the monsters, as Henderson’s art puts them front and center. As it turns out, the nightmare imagery is actually WAY creepier without any story to go along with it, as the drawings allow you to come up with your own scary tales for each deeply unsettling piece.
