Tasty Lemon Tart With “Invisible” Filling Looks Like It’s Made of Glass

[ad_1]

Clear Lemon Tart Recipe

At first glance, this lemon tart by Japanese twitter user @tomeinohito looks like the beginnings of a delicious dessert with an ordinary pie crust, except it has a dollop of whipped cream that appears to be floating in mid-air. You might be wondering what type of sorcery this is and where the lemon flavor comes in. Take a closer look and you’ll notice the “invisible” filling. The illusionary creation is a fitting choice for this clever baker—her name “tomei no hito” literally translates to “clear person.”

The artisanal baker recently shared photos of her homemade fruit pie online, along with a list of ingredients. The transparent tart filling is made from a mixture of gelatin powder, white wine, sugar, honey, and lemon. It might not look like much (or anything at all) at first, but once the light shines through a slice at an angle, it looks just like glass.

If you’ve been baking a lot since lockdown and you’re looking for a new challenge, why not try making @tomeinohito’s clear lemon tart?
