These Mushroom Ceramics Look Like They Grew From a Fairytale Forest

Sometimes, instead of the usual white dishes, you want crockery with a bit of personality. Fortunately, there’s no better place to find the mug of your dreams than Etsy. This website features the work of hundreds of unique artists, and among them is the talented ceramist duo Vanda and Valerie.

Based in the Czech Republic, these two artists have created a line of dishware inspired by the Amanita mushroom. Each mug, saltshaker, and plate is infused with a variation of the fungi’s trademark red and white polka dot design. Some cups are more literal—including a bulbous lid to emulate the mushroom top—while others take on more classic shapes.

Vanda and Valerie have been making high-quality ceramic art since 1998, and take meticulous steps in each piece. Their pottery is fired at a temperature of 1180 degrees Celcius (2156 degrees Fahrenheit), ensuring high durability. Additionally, all pieces are dishwater and microwave safe and have European hygienic certificates.
