Created by layering hundreds of individually sculpted palm leaves on top of one another, the installation ‘Proximity’ swells through the space, playing with scale and motion as its mass teeters on the edge of movement. Designed to “explore the role of nature and its interaction with the built environment”, the installation continues the pair’s enquiry into the structure, patterns and systems of the natural world. “We like to imagine nature is in the process of reclaiming this site”, the pair explained to IGNANT about the project.
