Architecturally Inspired Jewelry By Arco Studio

Founded by practicing architect Malaika Carr, Arco Studio creates unisex jewellery reminiscent of architectural masterpieces.

The name Arco derives from the Spanish word for ‘arc’: one of the complex architectural forms frequently depicted in the brand’s minimalist jewelry designs. Malaika’s architectural experience sees consideration of precision, function and scale applied to the jewellery designs, resulting in statement pieces which radiate a striking sophistication. The latest collection entitled ‘Scarpa Collection’ is inspired by the works of architect Carlo Scarpa: in particular, ‘Tomba Brion’, his concrete cast cemetery located in San Vito d’Altivole near Treviso, Italy. The elaborate detailing, geometric forms and brutalist contours of the cemetery are reflected in the sterling silver and gold plated rings, necklaces, earrings and bracelets. Arco Studio creates timeless designs which beautifully pay homage to architectural pioneers and as the studio explain, “encapsulates the union between the architectural discipline and the art of jewelry.”
