Balanced, Geometric Interiors By Pedro Paulo Venson

[ad_1]

Brazilian product designer Pedro Paulo Venson designs minimalist and conceptual interiors and artefacts, including chairs, side tables and lamps with distinctly sharp and curved shapes.

A cross between sculpture and furniture, Venson’s pieces feature definiable lines, circles, oblongs, spheres and voids. The designs are inspired by the arches and curves of Portuguese colonial buildings in Venson’s home country, Brazil. Adding a historical discussion to ideas about form is of importance to the designer. Many pieces are interchangeable in their function: ‘Arauto’ for example, works as a chair, side table, hat stand, and sculpture piece. The geometric pieces are crafted from solid brass and carbon steel elements, produced in matte black, copper and gold—the design principles of balance and movement evident in Venson’s aesthetic.
