Stephen Crowley is a designer and father from Dublin who likes to create hilarious photo edits featuring his daughter Hannah in all sorts of dangerous situations. The man says it all started as a lighthearted joke to troll his family members and that he received mostly positive comments from people on the internet. However, others clearly did not get the joke and even sent death threats to the man.

In an interview with Bored Panda, Stephen said that Hannah was born with a rare immune disorder called Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) and had to spend the first 6 months of her life in a hospital, receiving chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.

“Of 27 million worldwide donors, 3 were deemed suitable, and an anonymous German lady donated,” revealed Stephen. “Because we missed out on so much normal stuff of the first year, we take tons of photos now that we’re able to do normal things out of isolation.” The father says that Hannah is doing much better now and is always smiling, even if she’s constantly in and out of hospital.

Steven says that when it comes to his edits, there are two types of people – those who get the joke and find it funny, and those who think he’s doing it for real to get attention. “Either way, [the photos] get attention and get people talking, raising awareness of bone marrow donation,” said the man.
