Having grown up on Vancouver Island in a small coastal town surrounded by nature, Ian Lanterman decided to fly the nest, temporarily relocating to Japan. During his time there, he discovered the work of surrealist photographer Shoji Ueda and was inspired to begin his own photographic career.
