Freedom Of Movement: ‘Mobility’ For MCM

In IGNANT production’s latest editorial for MCM, mobility is explored as the capacity for both motion and self-determination.

Freedom of expression is largely tied to freedom of movement; it is only when we have both that we—comfortable in the knowledge of our own agility—are able to leap from one space to another. In ‘Mobility’, action is explored through both subject and object: zippers zip and clippers clip, while bodies move through a rust-colored space defined by its angular proportions. In this editorial by IGNANT production, the static reality of this architectural space is transformed through film; its hard and unmoving edges become a rotating, pulsating backdrop against which new shapes of mobility, and the new collection from MCM, are shown.
