Lambert & Fils Use Glass and Gravity To Form Their New Collection Sainte

[ad_1]

For the newest collection, Lambert & Fils have looked to industrial materials and explored how these could be repurposed to form unique lighting pieces. ‘Sainte’ is the result of a collaboration between Lambert & Fils founder Samuel Lambert and former lead designer Rachel Bussin. The designs have evolved from their desire to explore the medium of glass in a new and innovative way, the result of which is a unique, geometric collection of sculptural lighting pieces. In ‘Sainte’, glass has been formed with precision into rectangles of varying sizes, suspended from the ceiling using durable nylon ribbon which allows for an unending choice of heights and angles. Light itself emits from a distinctive aluminum box placed within the glass. Comprised of a total of nine individual pieces, the collection is a versatile one, suitable for a variety of spaces. After spending more than a year formulating the designs, Lambert & Fils unveiled the ‘Atelier’ version at Milan Fuorisalone. Originally comprised of larger-scale works for commercial rooms, the collection has now also been thoughtfully reconfigured in the ‘Classic’ version—smaller-scale pieces designed for use in residential spaces.
