Lin Zhipeng Photographs Hedonism, Friendship And Sex

[ad_1]

Lin Zhipeng, also known professionally as 223, shoots provoking and stylized analog film photography that is censored in his native hometown of Beijing, China.

Zhipeng intimately pushes the boundaries of sexuality and eroticism by championing the liberation of youth culture. The Beijing based photographer’s expansive body of work includes subjects that are all his friends, often caught in moments between the sheets, or certainly behind closed doors. Zhipeng shoots with a sense of freedom because according to Chinese law, nude and explicit artworks are censored and sometimes banned. Thus the very act of creating such photos becomes an act of defiance.
