Nendo Melts Marble At Milan Design Week

[ad_1]

Launched at Milan Design Week in 2018, the white-walled space was used to highlight Marsotto’s expertise in marble processing in an unusual way. Rather than displaying the pieces traditionally, Nendo designed a series of innovative pedestals and platforms to that became as significant to the exhibition as the works themselves. Crafted from a dark marble; the furniture pieces are linear and sharp-edged, while the pedestals and platforms have rounded edges and a surface that ripples like water. The objects appear to sink into these puddles, morphing and melting into marble puddles.
