Space Colony Art from the 1970s


In the 1970s the Princeton physicist Gerard O’Neill, with the help of NASA Ames Study Heart and Stanford University, held a collection of house colony summer time studies which explored the possibilities of humans dwelling in giant orbiting spaceships. Colonies housing about 10,000 people had been intended and a amount of artistic renderings of the concepts have been created.
