The winners of the 2023 Environmental Photographer of the Calendar year (EPOTY) contest have been announced, showcasing two fantastic images and 4 more group champions.

The 16th edition of this level of competition, organized by CIWEM and WaterBear and supported by Nikon, MPB, and Arup, attracted entries from beginner and expert photographers from around 160 countries.
The EPOTY says, “This year’s 6 winners appear mostly from nations around the world that are really vulnerable to climate modify, this kind of as Bangladesh, India, and Argentina. These frontline photographers use their visuals to encourage weather action and awareness.”
The grand prize went to Maurizio di Pietro, a proficient Italian photographer, who captured a interesting impression of an insect food stuff experiment at the University of Turin.
