Tangent By Thomas Jenkins

Based in Oslo, industrial designer Thomas Jenkins focuses on material usage, craft skills and on industrial methods of production. His designs are characterized by interaction and daily use. His latest project named Tangent features an adjustable floor lamp with dimmable linear LED. This minimalist lamp takes its name from the tangential placement of the light source on the pedestal ring. This allows for endless adjustability so that the light can be used to create scenographic effects on walls or simply as a task light. Both the analogue mechanism and the simple geometric form highlight the functional and sculptural qualities of Tangent.
