A Collection of Stamps Celebrates 10 Years of Sun Observation

To kick off the summertime, USPS has teamed up with NASA to release a glimmering collection of stamps that celebrate 10 several years truly worth of photographs of the Sun. Printed with a foil cure, the 10 styles are derived from some of the Sun’s most alluring phenomena captured by the Solar Dynamics Observatory, to illustrate diverse sun chronicles these types of as plasma blasts, sunspots, and photo voltaic flares.

NASA released a spacecraft, the Photo voltaic Dynamics Observatory (SDO) in February 2010 as a way to observe the Sun’s exercise in geosynchronous orbit previously mentioned Earth.
