The latest dynamic duo to capture our hearts is Mame, a one-year-old Japanese girl, and Riku, her giant poodle with an impressive amount of fluff.
Mame and Riku haven’t been together long, but they’ve already had a lot of fun. The two don silly costumes, play house, and search for Waldo. It’s all for Mame’s benefit. Riku could probably do without the bonnet around its head, but the poodle has a gentle and easy-going demeanor that brings the girl—and us—pure joy. And if that’s not enough, just the sight of the two is sure to make you smile. Riku, at this point, is so much larger than Mame; the dog looks like a wise elder statesman when standing next to Mame’s chipmunk-like cheeks and curious eyes.
Mame’s grandmother snaps pictures of their sweet antics and posts them to their increasingly popular Instagram account. There, you’ll find two other giant poodles named Gaku and Qoo. They also have adorable interactions with Mame, but it’s clear that Riku has captured her heart.
