Meet Meow Meow, the Angry Internet Cat That Looks Like Grumpy Cat

[ad_1]

Last spring, the world mourned the loss of the permanently furrowed-brow feline known as Grumpy Cat. Although no one can replace Grumpy Cat—whose real name was Tardar Sauce—it appears that there is a new “angry” kitty capturing the hearts of the internet. Named Meow Meow, the fluffy feline lives in Taiwan and has strikingly similar coloring to the dearly departed Tardar Sauce with blue eyes to match. And of course, Meow Meow has the same resting grumpy face that is both adorable and a mood if we’ve ever seen one.

While Grumpy Cat and Meow Meow look similar, Meow Meow has her own incredible story. At one time, she was sick with a condition called Hyperthyroidism which can be fatal in cats if left untreated. She needed Radioactive Iodine Therapy, and so her “Meowmy” made it happen by quitting her job and taking a mortgage loan on their house. The two flew to the U.S. where Meow Meow spent a month in Oregon receiving treatment and living in quarantine. She made a full recovery, and now Meow Meow and Meowmy are back in Taiwan where the kitty wakes up her human with paw massages every day.

Meow Meow has a brand-new Instagram account where her human is starting to share snippets from their life together. Scroll down for some shots of the kitty.

In 2019, the world mourned the loss of Grumpy Cat. Although no one can take her place, there is a new “angry” internet cat capturing the hearts of netizens around the world, and her name is Meow Meow.
