My Modern Met Celebrates Turning 10 Years Old

[ad_1]

My Modern Met was formed in May 2008 to create one big city that celebrates creativity. This month, we celebrate turning ten years old.

Looking back, every year posed its own challenges. But with every obstacle, we also experienced incredible successes and triumphs. One of the most crucial elements was the relationships we formed with talented artists who are on the pulse of contemporary art. We’ve always believed that the very best artists continuously push the boundaries of how we think and, often times, the message in their artworks are more powerful than words could ever be.

One thing that hasn’t changed from the very beginning has been our mission to create a positive culture through the arts. Our passion for cultivating this type of atmosphere has only strengthened throughout the years and we believe it is our responsibility to continue moving forward with this mentality in mind.

As nostalgic as it is to look back, it’s even more exciting to look forward. Our intent is to continue innovating—striving to bring you the very best art+culture content around the world.

On behalf of our entire team, thank you for supporting us over the past decade and allowing us to engage with you in a meaningful way. And a big heartfelt thank you to all the artists who have collaborated with us over the years. While every story means something significant to us, here are a select handful of talented creators who have not only shared their incredible artworks with us, they’ve helped us define who we are and what we aspire to be.
