If so, the latest job offer from Nintendo might be just what you’ve been waiting for. The Japanese company are currently searching for a Level Designer for the new Legend of Zelda game, and they’re accepting international applicants.
The job will involve planning, creating, and implementing the game’s events and characters. Desired skills include “Experience and practical knowledge as a game planner for home console video games” as well as the ability to communicate in Japanese. In classic video game fashion, applicants must progress through several levels to make it to the top: after a written application, candidates will then be given a practical test, and if they pass, they will then go through two rounds of interviews.
The successful applicant will sign a three-month contract (with possible renewals) and earn between 4.7 million and 6.8 million yen ($43,500-$63,000), depending on their experience and skill level. Nintendo’s new employee will also be entitled to moving expenses and a housing allowance to help them get set up in Kyoto where the company is based. Not only that, but they’ll also be paid overtime and holidays.
