As a professional photographer and self-described “visual storyteller,” Kyle Re Creative is skilled in capturing memorable moments. While he primarily specializes in wedding and lifestyle photography, he also excels in photo edits, as apparent in his series of mind-bending water manipulations.
In this collection of photographs, Kyle Re Creative reimagines abstract splashes of water as recognizable, figurative forms. Captured using a fast shutter speed and then digitally reworked on Photoshop, each shot shows a model seemingly bending and distorting the liquid between her hands. As she concentrates on the water, distinctive shapes appear to form before our eyes. From the profile of a face to a magnificent horse, the figures explored by the artist give viewers a glimpse into his wild imagination.
In addition to his photo manipulation series, Kyle Re Creative also often shares unedited works of water photography. Much like his modified photographs, these pieces feature a model with water that appears to be frozen in her grasp. Though the artist refrains from transforming the liquid into figurative forms for these pieces, each image offers a fascinating and unexpected take on a seemingly simple subject. He shows how splashes of water can be so much more with an active imagination.
