Lambert & Fils Find Inspiration In Childhood Imagination With Their Collection Parc

[ad_1]

Inspired by the boundless imagination of childhood, ‘Parc’ is a collection of six lighting models which form a harmonious combination of both playfulness and functionality. Known for its poetic and refined approach to design, the Montreal-based studio collaborated with Swiss designer Adrien Rovero for the collection. Rovero is known for his highly inventive use of materials, frequently repurposing objects and forming designs which have a connection to our surroundings. Created with the shape of the humble flashlight in mind, the collection aims to recall memories of days spent exploring nature as children, building dens, wandering forests, and crafting makeshift tools. “These makeshift things, at once naive and functional, harness the humility and unique beauty of peeling an object back to its essence,” say the designers.

Comprised of single and multi-headed suspension lights, table, and floor lamps, ‘Parc’ is a versatile collection with each piece constructed from powder-coated aluminum and elegant hand-blown milk glass. When suspended from the ceiling, the pieces appear to float at impossible angles—the addition of an aircraft cable allowing varying shapes of the fabric cord to give an additional playful element—echoing the act of looking up in a forest to a view of intertwined branches.
