The Tent House is one of many projects that challenge modern interpretations of traditional living spaces–in this case, the tent has become a minimal boutique getaway in the midst of replanted native foliage and plants, presenting a contemporary take on the rainforest retreat. From this point, residents can admire lush green views of the surrounding vegetation, through large windows and glass panel sliding doors. Tate’s Tent House has caught the eye of the World Architecture Festival jury, where it has been nominated for the Small Projects Prize category this year. The architect comments, “It was an experimental project designed to challenge the expectations of what a weekend house may be.”
