We’ve been fans of baker extraordinaire Holly Fox for a while now, and we’re happy to report that the LA-based artist’s quirky confections are as delectable as ever. Evoking the clean lines, bold hues, and simple forms of graphic design—her artistic expertise—Fox’s colorful cookies are almost too good to eat.
Like her previous batches, Fox’s more recent mouthwatering masterpieces communicate her enduring aesthetic interests. “I’m constantly thinking about composition and color,” Fox told the Instagram blog. “My styling and cookie shapes reflect my graphic design style — nice and tidy. I’ve really tried to make colorful and clean my signature style!” Fox also continues to distinctively dabble in Pop Art-esque subject matter, including pastel nail polish, candy-colored Vespas, and patriotic popsicles. Though her cookies still scream “Holly Fox!” they also showcase the artist’s growth and improvement, as she appears to be successfully experimenting with trickier compositions, finer details, and more custom colors than ever before.
