There’s no better time than the present to learn a new skill. With extra time on your hands, why not take advantage and start a new craft or learn more about a subject you’ve always been interested in? Right now, audio and video editing are more important than ever for content creators. Maybe you want to show a behind the scenes look at your creative process or you wish to branch out into podcasting. Both will require a good grasp of video and audio editing; and now, two top apps are running a 90-day free trial.

Both Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X are available for a three-month trial period, which is more than enough time to test out the programs and develop some serious editing skills. Previously, Final Cut Pro X was only available for a 30-day trial, while Apple’s audio recording and editing software Logic Pro X didn’t offer any trial.

You can get started with your free trial by going to Apple’s page for Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X. If you already happened to be signed up for a 30-day Final Cut Pro X trial, don’t worry—you’ll be able to expand it into the 90 days. Both pages will also list all the basic requirements needed for each program, so be sure to look things over to ensure your Mac is up to snuff.

If you are new to video and audio editing, Apple provides plenty of free resources for both Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X. Or, if you’re looking for something more structured, you might want to sign up for an online course that will take you step by step through the apps depending on your needs. Creative Live runs both a boot camp and an in-depth look at Final Cut Pro X, while Skillshare has a variety of short classes depending on what type of project you want to create.

Similarly, you’ll find introductions to Logic Pro X, as well as courses tailored to specific needs. So whether you want to mix podcast audio or dive into music production, there are plenty of choices.

So what are you waiting for? There’s no time like the present to start expanding your creativity.
