This Disney Filter on Snapchat Turns Your Dog Into a Cartoon Character

If you think that the animals in Disney films are adorable, then Snapchat has a new filter you’re sure to love. Called “cartoon face,” it transforms your dog into a “Disneyfied” version of themselves, making them even cuter than they already are. This is not a filter by Disney, but the illustration style recalls the aesthetic of their classic flicks like 101 Dalmatians and Lady and the Tramp. When you aim your phone at your pup, the app adds large, sweet eyes and expressive brows to their face. The result makes them look like they could be part of the cast in the animated movie titled Bolt.

Snapchat regularly adds new filters to their app, but they might fly under the radar until users start to notice them and share the transformations on other platforms. “Cartoon face” is a great example of this. It went viral after a user named Danielle Sugden pointed it out in the Dogspotting Society Facebook group, which has nearly a million members. The post, which encouraged people to try the filter for themselves, has yielded some super cute results that change depending on the expression of the dog. If Snapchat perceives that the pup is squinting, it might generate eyes that give a look of “Are you kidding me?” But with other wide-eye dogs, they’ll have big curious expressions that’ll make you go, “Aww!” With all these possibilities, you’ll be using this filter time and again.
