Inspired by the concept of the sawhorse, Dutch duo Os & Oos propel the traditional into the contemporary with their latest collection, ‘Tunnel’.
Desiring a balance between artistic expression and design for practicality, Os & Oos unveil innovative designs that combine characteristics of both. Constructed solely from anodised aluminium and glass, the beautifully simple and functional ‘Tunnel’ collection boasts an absence of any physical fasteners, instead presenting each element of the design as a direct supporting tool. The classic and the contemporary collide once more within the manufacturing process, where they have used new techniques to precision cut the interlocking extruded tubes — allowing for traditional construction methods to be applied to new materials. In the case of ‘Tunnel’, advantages include ease of construction and weight.
