Polish architect and freelance illustrator Maja Wrońska is known for her incredible watercolor paintings of famous cities and architectural monuments around the world. We’ve been following her work for years, from her moody paintings of European monuments to watercolors of international skylines. Now she’s back with a new set of impressive watercolors that capture the cityscapes and monuments of beloved cities in the United States and Europe.

Illustrating the locations under different weather conditions and times of year, Wrońska demonstrates her impressive abilities with watercolor paints. From the soft dreamy pinks of Bilbao to the saturated colors of the New York skyline, she draws out the mood of every environment she depicts.

Wrońska, who has also created work for IKEA, manages to express the warm glow of sunset or the cool tones of a grey winter day with ease. Her colors spread like a web across the paper, contrasting with the sharp, crisp detail used to outline the details of the architecture. Luckily, if you’d like a piece of Wrońska’s art in your home, she sells prints and other items on Society6 and InPrnt, which has this new collection of work.

Maja Wrońska’s new set of watercolors depicts the skyline of famous American cities like New York and San Francisco.
