The Visual Diary Of Theo Tagholm

Currently living and working in London, Theo Tagholm works across a broad range of visual arts, including fine art, graphic design, filmmaking and photography.

As a photographer, Tagholm uses an experimental documentary approach. In this selection of images, he shares a sharp eye for interesting occurrences in the corners of urban and coastal environments, the majority of which were shot in Japan. Often, he presents figures partially concealed by their environment: through this, Tagholm is able to communicate a sense of the pace and anonymity of city living, whilst drawing attention to routines of life in transit. Collections of objects are presented in arrangements of satisfying composition, as if purposefully arranged to form imagery of a contemporary still life.
